TENSION & RELEASE
The dark and bubbly NYC comedian, Camille Theobald spends her evening with us laughing at great comedy and examining the role played by TENSION & RELEASE in a stand-up performance. We had such a great time! Tension & release is a powerful tool for invoking laughter, and we do our best to ponder the theme from a plethora of interesting angles. We trace the TENSION & RELEASE through taboo, energy, emotion, anticipation & delivery, sadness & wrongness, how it works with characters and stories, and the size of the laughter in proportion to the tension released. And yes, this episode was one long series of sexual innuendo.
